Abstract

Blood infections are extensive range of disorders that can vary from limited bacteremia to fatal septicemia. This study aimed to isolate and identify bacterial pathogen from blood samples of patients suffering from blood stream infection and determine their antibiotic resistance pattern. The major pathogen isolates from the blood sampled of infected patients were mostly E. coli, Staphylococcus spp and Pseudomonas spp. This study was conducted from 24/04/2024 title as isolation and identification and antibiogram profile of pathogenic from blood sample of patients visiting Hayatabad Medical Complex. A total of 15 blood samples were collected aseptically and subjected to isolate, identify bacterial Species and to find antibiotic susceptibility against particular antibiotic at the microbiology laboratory Sarhad university of Science and information technology Peshawar. out of 15 samples ,9 samples were culture positive and 6 were culture negative. Subsequently, the Kirby-baller disc diffusion method was utilize to evaluate antimicrobial susceptibility of the identified bacterial pathogen, commonly used antibiotic in which antibiotic meropenem show high sensitivity to E. coli and Pseudomonas  , while conduct that meropenem have high efficiency to react the particular infection in our study. This studies impact lies in its potential to guide healthcare provider in selecting proper and effective antibiotics treatments for bacteria blood stream infections.
